Festival Overview
The National Western Stock Show fills January in Denver with a sustained run of livestock, rodeo, and western culture. Across the National Western Complex, the Denver Coliseum, the Stockyards and livestock barns, and the Exhibition Hall and trade show areas, you move between serious animal judging, horse shows, arena action, ranch gear, and families lingering over barn aisles to study cattle and horses up close.
It feels part competition, part working agricultural showcase, part winter city tradition, with the opening period sometimes stretching outward into downtown for the Stock Show Parade.
