Festival Overview
The amphitheater becomes quiet before the campground does.
Stage lights disappear beneath the live oaks. Vendors close their counters. People follow dark roads toward tents and parked cars, carrying chairs, jackets and instruments that spent the evening waiting beside them.
Then another song begins.
Suwannee Spring Reunion is a four-day bluegrass, folk, Americana, blues and roots music festival held at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park near Live Oak in North Florida. Performances occupy the park’s tree-lined amphitheater, porch, indoor music hall and smaller stages, while workshops, family activities and informal picking parties continue through the campgrounds.
The setting is not a temporary field assembled for one weekend. Spirit of the Suwannee is a permanent music park beside the Suwannee River, with wooded campsites, internal roads, trails and performance spaces shaped by years of gatherings.
That history gives the word *Reunion* its weight. Returning visitors find familiar camps. Musicians meet people who have heard them here before. Songs leave the formal stages and reappear at Slopryland, the Bill Monroe Shrine or a circle formed beside someone’s tent.
The audience does not simply return to camp.
It carries the music there.
