Festival Overview
San Diego Comic-Con International transforms downtown San Diego into the center of pop culture for four unforgettable days. While the San Diego Convention Center anchors the event with its enormous Exhibit Hall, headline panels, and celebrity appearances, the experience quickly expands into the surrounding city. The Gaslamp Quarter fills with costumed fans, immersive brand activations, rooftop parties, and late-night conversations, while nearby hotels, the waterfront, and public spaces become extensions of the convention itself.
For many visitors, Comic-Con is as much about the atmosphere as the schedule. Walking between venues means encountering elaborate cosplay, surprise studio promotions, outdoor exhibits, and thousands of fans celebrating everything from comics and animation to blockbuster films, television, gaming, and collectibles. The city becomes one connected convention campus where nearly every block offers something unexpected.
