Overview
Antigua Carnival turns St. John’s into a long run of soca, steelpan, costume bands, and late-night stage shows, with the biggest energy building toward the final parade days. The action spreads between St. John's streets, Carnival City, Antigua Recreation Grounds, and the St. John's waterfront and market area, so the festival feels half street takeover, half performance season. You get pre-dawn J'ouvert, daytime recovery, then evenings that fill back up with calypso and soca competitions, pageants, and party crowds.
