Festival Overview
The Bix Beiderbecke Memorial Jazz Festival celebrates the life and music of Davenport’s most famous jazz pioneer in the city where his story began. Rather than filling a single festival ground, performances unfold across downtown venues, historic theaters, hotels, and gathering spaces, giving visitors a chance to experience both traditional jazz and the Mississippi River city that helped shape one of America’s most influential cornet players. Between performances, it’s easy to explore Davenport’s revitalized riverfront, local restaurants, breweries, and walkable downtown, making the festival feel as much like a long weekend in the Quad Cities as a series of concerts.
