Festival Overview
Little Havana stretches west from downtown Miami along Southwest Eighth Street, where Cuban exile history, Latin American migration, cigar shops, fruit stands, restaurants, murals, music, and political memory shape one of the city's most recognizable corridors. Calle Ocho Music Festival turns a long section of that street into a massive Carnaval Miami celebration with multiple stages, food vendors, dance, brand activations, and crowds moving through neighborhood blocks.
Salsa, reggaeton, merengue, bachata, regional Mexican music, hip-hop, and other sounds overlap rather than wait politely for one another. The scale can be overwhelming, but the destination supplies meaning: this is a public expression of Miami's Latin identities in the avenue that has carried them for generations.
