Festival Overview
Galway Oyster Festival turns central Galway into a long weekend of shellfish, stout, champagne, and table-hopping conversation. The heart of it is the oyster itself, especially Galway Bay oysters, but the feel of the festival comes from moving between tastings, shucking moments, seafood pairings, and dressed-up hospitality events in the city centre rather than staying in one hall all day. It feels social, a little polished, and very Galway: pubs filling early, restaurant doors busy by evening, and people comparing where they ate their best oyster of the day.
