Festival Overview
Prague Quadrennial turns Prague into a citywide stage-design and performance map, with the biggest concentration at Prague Exhibition Grounds (Výstaviště Praha) and additional work unfolding in Prague city-center performance and exhibition venues. This is not a single-night arts event but a dense international gathering for scenography, theatre architecture, performance design, and live installation, where students, curators, designers, and theatre professionals spend long days moving between exhibition halls, talks, and performances. Because it happens on a four-year cycle, each edition carries a bit of urgency: people come to see how countries, schools, and artists are presenting theatre space right now, in rooms built for looking closely rather than rushing past.
