Festival Overview
Rochester Lilac Festival unfolds through Highland Park at the point in May when the park’s lilac collection and garden areas become the reason people keep stopping mid-walk to lean into the scent and compare which shrubs are at their best. It is part flower viewing, part neighborhood spring ritual, with garden paths filling first, then artisan and vendor rows, then the main stage / concert area as the day goes on. The feel is less like a single show than a long park day built around bloom watching, browsing, eating, and circling back for music.
