Festival Overview
Carnaval de Nice turns central Nice into a parade city for the day, with the action gathered between Place Masséna and the Promenade des Anglais. Expect oversized floats, costumed performers, barricaded viewing stretches, and a festive crush that spills out toward Jardin Albert 1er and the approaches from Vieux Nice. Even in a single-day visit, the feel is unmistakably Niçois: sea air, Belle Époque facades, bright masks, and a crowd that shifts between seafront strolling and fixed parade watching.
