Overview
Goa Carnival spreads across Panaji, Margao, Vasco da Gama, and Mapusa, with the strongest concentration in central Panaji where parade routes, public squares, and street crowds turn the festival into a moving city spectacle rather than a single-site event. The celebration mixes ceremonial moments, floats, costume groups, and open street participation, so the experience comes as much from standing in the crowd and following the flow through town as from watching any one programmed segment.
