Festival Overview
Neptune Festival takes over the Virginia Beach Oceanfront for a September weekend built around the beach, the Boardwalk, and the busy blocks just inland on Atlantic Avenue. The feel is part seaside street festival, part big local weekend out, with people drifting between ocean views, art and vendor browsing, and live entertainment near the water. The Neptune statue at the Oceanfront gives the whole thing a recognizable center, and the setting matters: this is a festival where salt air, sand, and the long promenade are part of the experience rather than a backdrop.
