Festival Overview
Gisborne faces the Pacific at the eastern edge of Aotearoa, surrounded by vineyards, farmland, surf beaches, and deep Māori history. Rhythm and Vines turns Waiohika Estate into a multi-day music camp whose final countdown is linked to the first sunrise of the new year. Vines, dry summer hills, tents, stages, and a young national crowd create the setting. The appeal extends beyond headline dance and pop acts: remoteness, shared camping, and the symbolism of dawn make the journey feel like a temporary rite of passage rather than an ordinary concert.
