Continue to Sendai for the complete three-day Tanabata window. Walk the decorated arcades early enough to study the seven traditional paper ornaments before foot traffic thickens, use the hottest part of the day for cooling and meals, and return in the evening when lighting and city activity change the streamers’ character. Different corridors reward repeat visits rather than one hurried pass.
