ROUTE OVERVIEW

📄 Route description

This south-to-west spring route follows the changing sound of American music from Miami’s electronic stages to Savannah’s multi-genre performance rooms, Charleston Jazz Festival, Nashville’s country and songwriting institutions, Memphis blues and soul landmarks, and the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

The itinerary uses current festival records for Ultra Music Festival Miami, Savannah Music Festival, Charleston Jazz Festival, and New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. Nashville and Memphis remain intentional cultural stops. Selected attendance windows sit inside the complete festival dates, while the two-day buffer before New Orleans protects the final transfer and allows arrival before Jazz Fest.

TRAVEL LOGISTICS

  • Use Miami as the arrival gateway and New Orleans as the departure gateway; an open-jaw itinerary avoids backtracking.
  • Arrive in Miami no later than 25 March 2027 and schedule the New Orleans departure after the final planned Jazz Fest day.
Search Flights
  • Miami to Savannah is approximately seven to eight driving hours before stops; consider an overnight break or a short flight if one driver would carry the entire segment.
  • Savannah to Charleston is approximately two hours by road; Charleston to Nashville is the longest inland segment at roughly eight to nine hours and should begin early.
  • Nashville to Memphis is approximately three hours, and Memphis to New Orleans approximately six hours before congestion and stops.
  • Use central parking only when the accommodation provides it; walk, use local transit, or use official pickup areas inside the festival cities.
Get Transport
  • The festival attendance windows are selections within the current full festival dates, not claims that the festivals operate only on those days.
  • The 20–21 April buffer protects the Memphis-to-New Orleans transfer, rest, and early arrival before Jazz Fest.
  • Recheck all three festival programs and every intercity segment before cancellation deadlines and again shortly before departure.
