Overview
Jazz Fest lives at the Fair Grounds Race Course, but it never feels sealed off from the rest of New Orleans. You spend the day moving between stages, Louisiana food booths inside the grounds, and craft and cultural demonstration tents, then the city pulls people back out toward neighborhood dinners, clubs, and late music. The appeal is not just the lineup; it is the way brass, gospel, zydeco, roots music, local cooking, and the fairgrounds setting all sit together in one place.
